HOUSTON – A look at “Spirits, Spirits & Spirit: Exploring ghosts, goblins, and the spiritual realm” is the focus of Theology on Tap, a gathering for Houston-area young adults, set for Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kindred, 2515 Waugh Drive, Houston 77006.
Sponsored by Perkins School of Theology-51 and its hybrid Houston-Galveston Extension Program, the featured speaker will be Perkins professor Dr. William J. Abraham, Albert Cook Outler Professor of Wesley Studies.
During the gathering, which will include a time for questions, conversation and community building, Dr. Abraham will explore these seasonally themed questions: From the haunting ‘heebie-jeebies’ to the Holy Spirit, how do we know what's really out there? Is there a spiritual realm we can't see? Angels? Ghosts? What is that world like? How do we know?
There is no cost for the event, although donations will be accepted. People of all perspectives and beliefs are welcome.

About the Perkins Hybrid Houston-Galveston Extension Program
Perkins School of Theology meets you where you are both spiritually and geographically through our flexible Houston-Galveston Extension Program. Hybrid courses and one-week intensives provide an opportunity for you to continue your journey in ministry on-site in Houston-Galveston: attending seminary while still employed full- or part-time reduces the cost to students—both financially and in travel time—and creates a smoother transition for you and your family. Being located in Houston, one of the most socially, culturally and economically diverse cities in the United States, this unique program allows students to take advantage of an extraordinary range of opportunities for Christian ministry, both as clergy and laity.
Through Perkins, 51 offers students in the Houston-Galveston region—and others willing to travel to Houston—the opportunity to complete two different master's degrees in theology on-site: the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and the Master of Arts in Ministry (M.A.M.).
