Faculty Staff International Travel Registration

Employees traveling internationally on 51²è¹Ý business or using 51²è¹Ý funds must have their travel authorized and registered before travel. This includes all international travel supported by 51²è¹Ý, including conferences, research, teaching, training, and recruitment, etc. Please do not book/register personal travel or other non-51²è¹Ý travel.

Step 1

Begin by submitting a Concur Travel Request. This request will be routed for approval by the requesting department. Risk Management approval is no longer needed before an itinerary is booked.

Step 2

Upon approval of the Concur Travel Request, the traveler may complete their booking through Concur. Once the itinerary has been finalized, it is uploaded into Safeture.

*If you are booking travel outside of Concur, you must follow these instructions for travel registration.

Step 3

Safeture will send an automated email with instructions to complete the mandatory Pre-Travel Form and the assigned Travel Risk Awareness e-Learning. The trip is not fully approved until upon completion of the Pre-Travel Form.

For those traveling to High-Risk countries

The completed Pre-Travel Form is sent to the Travel Oversight Committee (TOC). In accordance with policy 11.4. the TOC will review trip information and are the final step in approving/denying travel to high risk countries. If it is approved, you will receive an email notification and can continue with pre-booked travel. Should travel be denied, you will have the opportunity to appeal. The chair of the TOC will follow up with guidance on the appeal process.

Step 4

Familiarize yourself with current Travel restrictions and download the Safeture mobile app.
