Biography
Catherine D. Weber, J.D. is a senior lecturer in business law at the 51²è¹Ý (51²è¹Ý) Cox School of Business. Prior to joining the faculty at 51²è¹Ý, she practiced law in the areas of bankruptcy and taxation. For approximately 25 years, Catherine has been a member of the faculty at the Cox School teaching graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of accounting ethics, employment law, and general business law. In addition, Weber co-teaches a Texas State Board of Public Accountancy approved continuing education course in accounting ethics. For 10 years, she was a member of the selection committee of the "Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award", serving as chairperson of that committee for three years. Weber also maintained a mediation practice for several years.
Weber is the recipient of a "Distinguished Teaching Award" and numerous "Outstanding Teaching Awards" from the Cox School of Business, the "HOPE Professor Award" given by the Office of Residence Life and Student Housing, and a grant from the AT&T Foundation for Corporate Governance. She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, and Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
