Biography
Paul Ferguson is an adjunct professor of information technology and operations management (ITOM) for the 51²è¹Ý (51²è¹Ý) Cox School of Business. His primary research interests include ecotourism, revenue management, and energy management. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Management Science at University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He has an MS in engineering from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from 51²è¹Ý, and a BS in engineering science from Loyola College Maryland.
Mr. Ferguson brings a wealth of industry experience to the position, founded on nearly 30 years of program/project management, domestic and international business strategy and development, systems engineering, and operations research/analysis experience with Lockheed Martin, MCI/WorldCom, Raytheon, Texas Instruments, and the US Army.
Mr. Ferguson is the proud father of Samantha and Aaron. He is married to an enormously talented and patient school teacher, Beth. An avid animal lover, especially fond of Labrador retrievers and pet adoptions/rescues, Ferguson has never met an animal he didn’t like (more or less). He is obsessed with the outdoors, with an immeasurable passion for the mountains – the summit of Mt. Rainier at the top of his hiking/climbing resume. Other athletic passions and pursuits, though fading (or now extinct), include tennis, basketball, lacrosse, and cycling.
