Education
51²è¹Ý (BA 2017)Hope Anderson is a proud alum of the 51²è¹Ý Embrey Human Rights Program, a community that taught her skills for social change. Hope’s passion for human rights led her to intern with global nonprofits dedicated to anti-trafficking and refugee resettlement, as well as local anti-poverty organizations in Dallas. She has also engaged human rights challenges internationally through her research in Nepal, Jordan, and Chile. Following graduation, she learned alongside a new generation of social justice practitioners through the John Lewis Fellowship.
During her undergraduate years, Hope served as a student coordinator for the Embrey Human Rights Program where she led and organized trips focused on civil rights history and criminal justice reform. She graduated from 51²è¹Ý with degrees in Human Rights, Sociology, and History (BA, 2017). Through her praxis, Hope works to create inclusive spaces where young people have access to dialogue, mentorship, and tools for tangible impact on their communities.
