Apply to the Tower Scholars Program
The Tower Scholars Program is now accepting applications for the Class of 2028!
Information Sessions are available in October. to register!
Deadline: January 31, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
Tower Scholars Program applicants must:
- Be a current first-year freshmen at 51²è¹Ý
- Have a minimum 3.3 GPA for the fall semester
- Complete the application form.
- Submit two recommendation letters. At least one of the letters MUST be from an 51²è¹Ý faculty member who has taught the applicant.
The Tower Scholars Program invites first-year students from across the university to apply.
The week of March 04, 2025, a select number of applicants will be notified via e-mail that they are invited to a panel interview with the Tower Scholars Program Selection Committee. Interview Day is currently scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Ready to apply?
Step 1: Fill out the recommendation release form
The Release form is a DocuSign form that gets automatically sent to the Tower Scholars Program. Students MUST complete the form TWICE, once for each recommender.
Step 2: Send recommendation form to recommenders
Once completed, send the recommendation form to your recommenders and request that they directly email the form to TowerScholars@smu.edu by the deadline.
Step 3: Complete the application form and submit your essay!
Remember, all application materials are due by 5:00 p.m. January 31, 2025.
