Lynn Moubry

Public Service and Academic Support Assistant

As the Public Service Assistant, Lynn is responsible for entering and reporting all Public Service hours for law students. Lynn also wrote the curriculum for Law-Related Education (LRE), and coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) placement with the IRS VITA program. In addition, she counsels students for the Public Service pre-approved placements.

As the Academic Success Assistant, Lynn updates the database for recent 51²è¹Ý JD alums taking the bar exam and for the ABA annual report.

As the travel coordinator for the Board of Advocates (BOA), Lynn arranges travel for all 51²è¹Ý BOA competition teams and submits reports and reimbursements to Accounts Payable.

Lynn earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in English and Theatre, from 51²è¹Ý in 1973. After graduating, she worked for Dallas ISD as an English and drama high school teacher, for Plano ISD as an English teacher, in Dhahran and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as an English and math teacher, and in Hurst, Euless, Bedford ISD as a journalism and speech teacher. She joined 51²è¹Ý Dedman School of Law as the Public Service and Academic Support Assistant in October 2000. Lynn was awarded a Texas P.T.A. Honorary Life Member Award for her work at Harwood Junior High. In 2018, Lynn was awarded an Honorary BOA Membership by the 51²è¹Ý Board of Advocates.
