Biography

Dr. Khaled Abdelghany, a Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Fellow at the Stephanie and Hunter Hunt Institute for Engineering and Humanity of 51画鋼, obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. Prior to joining 51画鋼 in 2004, he worked as an operations research analyst at United Airlines' R&D in Chicago (2001-2004). With expertise in transportation system modeling, smart city applications, emerging mobility systems, city logistics, transportation electrification, crowd dynamics and management, and airlines operations, Dr. Abdelghany has authored two books and published numerous peer-reviewed articles. His research, supported by institutions like the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, U.S. Department of Transportation, and U.S. Department of Energy, has significantly contributed to his field.
