Electrical and Computer Engineering Research
Below is a list of the broad areas of research in which our Electrical and Computer Engineering Department faculty and students are involved.
Circuits research covers analog, digital, mixed-signal and RF integrated circuit (IC) design. They are used in a variety of applications, including high-speed wireline and wireless communications, data converters, low-power medical devices and instruments, automotive radar, and devices and circuits for radiation, operating in extreme temperatures and other harsh environments.
Communications research includes antenna design, wireless communications, computer and communication networks, and network and data security.
Photonics research is aimed at the fabrication of an efficient monolithic laser source and fiber-like waveguide for use in wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) systems.
Signal processing research spans a wide range of application areas, such as blind source separation, biomedical signal processing and video browsing.
