    Screening protocols to determine who qualifies for “compassionate dialysis” in hospitals with high numbers of uninsured patients are driving an unintended consequence. OREM chair Sila Çetinkaya and her research team show that these protocols are putting too much strain on emergency rooms.

  • Department Chair and Cecil H. Green Professor of Engineering Sila Çetinkaya has been elected as President of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Association of Chairs of OR Departments (ACORD).
