Stephen Ahearn
Stephen Ahearn currently serves as acting associate principal and Eb clarinetist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, adjunct professor of clarinet at 51²è¹Ý, and is a core member of Voices of Change. Prior to moving to Dallas, he served as the acting second and Eb clarinetist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, adjunct professor of clarinet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, bass clarinetist with the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, and as the principal clarinetist of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. Stephen has also appeared as a guest of the Philadelphia Orchestra in Philadelphia and at Carnegie Hall, the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and at the Santa FeChamber Music Festival. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Music from the University of Richmond, and a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. His teachers include Todd Levy, Ricardo Morales, David Weber and David Niethamer. He is a D’Addario Winds Performing Artist. Stephen lives in Dallas with his wife Jori, his daughter Elin, and his bulldog Lucille.
