Dr. Janice Lindstrom has been a board-certified music therapist for over 25 years, working in schools, geriatric long-term care facilities, psychiatric settings, pediatric and adult hospitals, and private practice. After joining 51²è¹Ý in 2011, she supervised pre-internship clinical training for five years and has been teaching music therapy methods and practicum since 2016.

Dr. Lindstrom has served on the Southwestern Region of the American Music Therapy Association (SWAMTA) board of directors since 1997 in many roles, including president, and has served on the continuing education committee for the Certification Board for Music Therapy. Currently, she serves as Government Relations Representative and on the Texas Task Force for State Recognition of music therapy.
