Camilla Frontain (she/they) is an actor, visual artist, and educator. Before arriving at 51²è¹Ý to study acting, she earned a BA in Theatre Design and Tech from BYU-Idaho, worked in education as an English teacher, and pursued a Photography career in England for two years. Amidst this, Camilla’s love of performing remained a constant and ultimately led her to join 51²è¹Ý’s MFA program for Acting. Some of Camilla’s favorite credits include Tess in Ike Holter’s Sender (51²è¹Ý), understudying the Letter Writers in Nia Vardalos’ Tiny Beautiful Things (Dallas Theatre Center), Hannah in Elizabeth Golden’s world premiere of The Rapture Happens at Midnight (An Other Theatre Co.), and Gavroche in Les Misérables (Playmill Theatre). Outside of the theatre, Camilla enjoys playing music with their family, baking banana muffins, and running their photography business for actors and artists. She is driven by core principles of compassion, community, and creativity and is excited to challenge societal norms to reflect global representation, expression, and storytelling both in an out of the theatre.
