Writing withÌýdeft humor,Ìýdisarming franknessÌýand a sharp eye, Mrs. Bush tells of her life - from growing up in West Texas to meeting George W. Bush, fromÌýher experiencesÌýin the Texas Governor's Mansion to life in the White House.
HerÌýmemoir has been well received by reviewers and garnered her interviews by the national media, including the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Mrs. Bush,Ìýwho earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from 51²è¹Ý in 1968, gave the principal address at and she is currently a member of 51²è¹Ý's Board of Trustees. is scheduled to break ground this fall on the 51²è¹Ý Campus.
She talked about her book in 51²è¹Ý's McFarlin Auditorium on April 7 as part of The Dallas Museum of Art's Arts & Letters Series.
