51²è¹Ý remembers Robert L. ‘Bobby’ Moody, Sr., longtime 51²è¹Ý supporter and chairman emeritus of the Moody Foundation

51²è¹Ý mourns the loss of Robert L. ‘Bobby’ Moody, Sr., who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 88. Known for his exceptional leadership, Moody is honored for his business acumen, his love for his family and his lasting commitment and generosity across the state of Texas.

DALLAS () – The 51²è¹Ý Police Department will undergo an accreditation assessment by a team of assessors from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). The assessment will begin on July 15, 2023, and will examine all aspects of 51²è¹Ý PD’s policy, procedures, management, operation, and support services.

This assessment is a voluntary process by 51²è¹Ý PD to verify adherence to IACLEA’s state-of-the-art standards. Accreditation through IACLEA is a highly prized recognition in campus public safety professional excellence. 51²è¹Ý PD has been accredited by IACLEA since 2013, was reaccredited in 2017 and is seeking to maintain that accreditation through this assessment.

University members, agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling 214-768-6460 on July 17, 2023, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.

Telephone comments must address the department’s ability to comply with IACLEA standards. The IACLEA Accreditation Standards Manual is available on the IACLEA website at .

The Accreditation Manager for 51²è¹Ý PD is Lieutenant Rodney Irvin. The Assessment Team is composed of experienced campus law enforcement professionals from within the state of Texas. The assessors are Team Lead Peg Gant, IACLEA Lead Assessor, and team member Lieutenant Andy Huntington, Baylor University Police Department.
