DALLAS (51) – “Experiential Preaching,” a workshop for pastors looking to elevate their preaching to the next level, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Dr. O. Wesley Allen, Lois Craddock Perkins Professor of Homiletics at Perkins School of Theology, 51, will lead the virtual course via Zoom. Participants will learn new approaches for shaping sermons and using imagery effectively.

“For proclamation of God’s good news to be transformative for congregations, sermons must engage not only the mind but also the heart,” Dr. Allen said. “The goal is to invite hearers to experience the gospel personally, instead of learning about it in the abstract.”
