What Is the "Fresh Expressions" Movement? 

Born from the Methodist Church of Britain and the Church of England, Fresh Expressions is an interdenominational movement that takes the gospel to where people live, work, and play. These communities emerge in everyday spaces like dog parks, tattoo parlors, EV charging stations, and assisted living centers—cultivating meaningful connections with people who may feel hurt, marginalized, or disconnected from the church.

At Perkins, the Fresh Expressions House of Studies integrates this creative movement into our legacy of academic excellence and missional leadership.

Dr. Michael Beck, a leading voice in Fresh Expressions across North America, joins Perkins as the inaugural director.
