Navigating the Licensing Landscape

All disclosures and patent applications must be available in Sophia to ensure proper tracking of expenses, net distributions, and key patent or iEdison dates.   

 

Flintbox Patent Categories and Portfolios

Flintbox is a publicly accessible website that lists published and issued patents from 51²è¹Ý inventors. Tech scouts and others may search for patents based on Research Category of interest or drill down to the Sub-Category.

From which you may select a Sub-Category of interest, such as UAVs and Robotics.  

 

In addition to Categories, you may select other options from the Menu Bar:

TECHNOLOGIES lists all the patents in Flintbox by default, or only those which belong to the Category or Sub-Category you selected.  Here and for Categories and Portfolios, you may view these in either Tile or List format by selecting the option with 

RESEARCHERS lists the faculty inventors.

CATEGORIES yields the color wheel.

PORTFOLIOS lists patents which are functionally related, but are in different Categories due to the nature of the invention.
