The President's Scholars Program (PS) offers a four-year opportunity for some of the nation's most gifted students to bring their intellectual vitality, diverse talents, and active involvement to enrich the 51²è¹Ý community.

This program is dedicated to supporting exceptional students who have demonstrated a remarkable level of academic achievement and possess a strong commitment to making a positive impact both on campus and beyond.

    Joshua Ange, a third-year President’s Scholar majoring in Physics and Mathematics with minors in Computer Science and English, has been awarded the prestigious . The Goldwater encourages the country’s most promising undergraduate scientists to pursue careers in natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering research and is considered the preeminent award of its type in these fields.

Many President's Scholars are leaders in student government and serve on committees of the 51²è¹Ý Board of Trustees, the governing body of the University. 51²è¹Ý is one of the few universities in the nation to have a voting student-member on its Board of Trustees, along with student members serving on all Board committees.

Academic Life Balance

It is not unusual for President's Scholars to combine double or triple majors across disciplines, while also actively participating in campus life. After graduation, many continue their studies at distinguished medical, law, and other graduate schools throughout the world.
