About
Brooke Ryan, PT, DPT, OCS, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physiology and Sport Management. Dr. Ryan attended 51²è¹Ý for her undergraduate, receiving her B.S. in Applied Physiology and Health Management. After 51²è¹Ý, Dr. Ryan completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Prior to joining 51²è¹Ý, Dr. Ryan practiced clinically for Texas Health Sports Medicine in Arlington TX, with a focus on rehabilitating high school athletes back to sport. Through this experience, she assisted in creating THR's orthopedic residency curriculum as well as guest lectured for the sports residency program. Dr. Ryan started at 51²è¹Ý in an adjunct position teaching Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, and Anatomy apart of the Department of Applied Physiology and Sport Management. When she isn’t caught on 51²è¹Ý’s campus, she is walking her two golden retrievers, attending a local fitness class, digging into a good book, or heading to a coffee shop with her husband, Michael.
