The Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute (DCII) provides a platform for collaboration and the exchange of ideas across academic disciplines, helping to forge connections between the physical sciences, social sciences, and humanities; between Dedman College and 51²è¹Ý’s professional schools; and between academia and the broader community.

Serving as a dynamic center for intellectual life within Dedman College and at 51²è¹Ý, the DCII brings together faculty, students, and members of the DFW community by sponsoring research initiatives, student fellowships, and lecture series. Through these programs, the DCII promotes a culture of interdisciplinary problem-solving and knowledge creation to meet the world’s increasingly complex needs and challenges.
