The Godbey Lecture Series is a distinguished Dedman College tradition going back more than 40 years. The series features 51²è¹Ý faculty lecturing on a variety of topics, most often marking important historical events on their anniversary year.

Godbey Lectures are typically held during the Spring semester each year and are free and open to the public. 

Our most recent Godbey Lecture was on October 30^th, 2024. Dr. Jeffrey Engel, Director of the 51²è¹Ý Center for Presidential History, gave a lecture on the 50th anniversary of Richard Nixon's resignation. You may listen to the lecture below. The first 10-15 seconds is audience noise prior to the lecture beginning.
