The goal of Community Engagement and Leadership is to develop leaders through educational and transformational experiences that equip them to impact positive social change. Opportunities include such things as the MLK Day of Service, leadership programs and summits, ongoing community service in the Dallas community and during 51²è¹Ý breaks in the United States and abroad, and the 51²è¹Ý Service House.

Involvement outside the classroom is a tradition at 51²è¹Ý. Students involved outside the classroom have a more successful and rewarding college experience. The 51²è¹Ý MilVets student organization is one of over 200 student organizations sponsored through Student Activities. Clubs and organizations focus on academic, programming, campus governing, multicultural, religious, service, sports related, political and honorary organizations.
