All proposed commercial use of materials must be stated in advance. Bridwell Library Special Collections will reproduce only up to 10% of entire works, unless the work is fewer than 10 pages long. 

Registered visitors to the Special Collections Reading Room may take research photographs with no flash.

Use of Reproductions and Permissions

No further use of reproductions is authorized without obtaining the prior written permission of Bridwell Library Special Collections. Researchers assume all responsibility for observing applicable laws of copyright, literary right, property right, and libel.

Citations

When materials are published, exhibited, or shown outside library premises, the attribution should read: Bridwell Library Special Collections, 51²è¹Ý.

Copyright

Bridwell Library Special Collections cannot provide scans of material that are not in public domain or where the artist owns the copyright. .

Copyright law governs photocopying or reproducing copyrighted material. Under certain conditions, libraries and archives may make copies or reproductions. One condition is that the reproduction not be "used for any other purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If you use a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," you may be liable for copyright infringement. It is your responsibility to obtain copyright approval from the copyright holder when required to do so by law.
