Student Profile
Vivian Thai, Class of 2025
Biological Sciences BS, Health and Society BS | Minor in Human Rights
Vivian has been a research assistant with Dr. Eric G. Bing since her freshman year. While she initially joined the "Postpartum Hysterectomy at 51²è¹Ý" research project as a participant, Vivian's curiosity led her to join the team as a researcher. The project aimed to analyze the efficacy of virtual reality simulations as a learning tool with the goal of increasing access to surgical training in under-resourced settings. In her role, Vivian has helped with literature reviews, data analysis, and data coding. She finds her experience with Dr. Bing’s team “life-changing, as he has guided me through the research process behind life-saving public health innovations."
