Nusaiba Chowdhury
Ph.D., Anthropology
Nusaiba grew up in Garland, Texas and received her BA in Medical Anthropology and Master of Public Health from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During her time at CWRU, Nusaiba spent five years volunteering with two refugee resettlement agencies which led her to apply to 51²è¹Ý. She took a two year break to gain full-time work experience and is very excited to learn more about reproductive and mental health among Dallas refugee communities. In her free time, Nusaiba watches a lot of TV with an interest in how media representation of various communities can have positive or negative public health impacts. Otherwise, she can be found working her way through the Steel City Pops menu and diamond painting, a cross between cross-stitch and paint by numbers.
