Transfer Student Support

We warmly welcome incoming transfer students to campus

Student Success and Retention (SSR) offers valuable resources and support for a smooth transition to life on the Hilltop. Students are encouraged to meet with SSR to discuss any concerns and additional needs during their social and academic acclimation.

The purpose of the Mustang Transfers Organization is to provide educational and social opportunities for 51²è¹Ý transfer students. Primarily, the goal of this organization is to facilitate the transition for new students matriculating into the University by creating networks to other organizations, clubs, and students on campus.

The Transfer Student Services team helps students succeed at 51²è¹Ý by connecting them with the campus community and its many resources. Their team assists students from the day they begin thinking about 51²è¹Ý to the time they become University alumni.

The Financial Aid Office at 51²è¹Ý is committed to serving students by providing information to secure the necessary financial resources to meet their educational goals and financial obligations to the university.

Student Academic Success Programs (SASP) is dedicated to helping all undergraduate students conquer academic challenges and excel in their coursework. Services are located in the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center (A-LEC) and include peer tutoring, the faculty-led Writing Center, Academic Skill Development, and the Disability Accommodations and Success Strategies teams.

The Hegi Family Career Development Center at 51²è¹Ý is dedicated to serving the needs of 51²è¹Ý students and assisting employers in reaching qualified 51²è¹Ý candidates.

First-Generation Initiative (FGI) was established in 2019 to ensure academic success for first-generation 51²è¹Ý students, or those who are the first in their family to attend a postsecondary institution.

The Office of Social Change and Intercultural Engagement connects students with opportunities to engage with and learn from the 51²è¹Ý campus, Dallas community, and beyond. The office prioritizes advocacy and awareness through immersive community engagement experiences and social justice education.

51²è¹Ý Veterans Services support prospective and current student veterans, service members and their families throughout their education journey, from admission to 51²è¹Ý to graduation.

The Health Center team provides everything 51²è¹Ý students need to take care of their personal health! They provide consultations with physicians, sports medicine, women's health, dermatology, counseling, dental, and a pharmacy for your prescription needs.
